After finishing up the Red Bull Berm Burners build in Richmond, VA, the DirtSculpt crew is now off to Austin Texas for the ESPN X Games BMX dirt build! Our crew for this build includes Gilly, James P. Nutter, Will Blount and Matty Aquizap. Well, this build was one of the toughest yet due to the rain and flooding. We had the worst rain we've ever seen! We had approximately 4 inches of rain a day for all but 3 days of the build inculding tornados and high winds. As a result, we needed 1,000ft of plastic to cover the dirt and the jumps. We even had to make a plastic road for the quad but as soon as the sun came back out, we just hammered on it and got it done! If you saw the event this year, you couldn't even tell it rained. The track was so dry, so it all worked out. One of the cool changes this year was the addition of a pump track that we built for the kids. It was sweet to see my son Emerson get the first laps on it!
