So as soon as I got back from Mexico had to head back down to finish Rockburn Skills Park in Maryland. I started the rebuild and some changes about a month ago but snow and rain didn't let up. So had to wait little for it to dry out to get some shaping done. I made some changes to the Pumptrack and added some new lines. Spent most of the time fixing the jumpline fatting up the table tops and giving it some more flow. Here's some pics
So one of craziest comps of the year is in the history books! Thanks to Redbull for having this event! It's one of the hardest builds for crew and I but we still come back for more. I couldn't of done it with out Gilly ,Clint ,Nutter ,Will , Oscar , and Daniel thanks so much for the insane work!

So here we are again in Guadalajara Mexico for the second Redbull Dirtconquers! All though the course was left from last year it was just as much of a mission to fix. We also added six new features to the bowl. We had about 14 days to add the new stuff and recoat all off the original stuff. Not to mention that we are really working in the dust bowl and machinery problems it was not an easy task. So we just work 16 hours days to finish. Working all day and into the night around 130am. But it's all worth it after watching everyone in practice today! It was insane! All so this year the event will have a live feed onRedbull.com/dirtconquerslive Here is some pics of the new features
So it's been a real long and snowy winter but trying to make the best of it. Working on some local trail planing projects and design work for some up and coming bike parks. But what I'm really excited about is redbull dirt conquers Here's the press release ride magazine Check it out!
So redbull contacted me in the summer and asked if I could build some jumps with a loop in it. I said sure. Then I was thinking how and where! Well the where was easy TRA owner Mike Gentilcore said we could use his land! Now how are we going to build this thing and figure out the speed going in and coming out to hit a jump. Also could you even hit a jump coming right out of a loop. So Chris Janis, Shawn Sheoner, and myself figured it out. It wasn't easy! Here's some build pics enjoy!

So the crew and I just got done with a bike park in Basalt Colorado.It turned out really good super fun to ride!http://pumptraxusa.com contracted the job to Dirtsculpt to build and design this park.It was a three week build with unseasonal weather lots of rain but we still pulled it off.The park consist of a down hill berm and jump line that continues into a small jump line. It then connects to the Pumptrack if you want to make the longest run.You can turn out of any line if you just want to hit just one of the lines at a time.Here is some pics and a Ion camera vid coming soon.

After bringing Mike Gentilcore on board to help out on the business side of things, Dirtsculpt designed and built dirt courses for ESPN’s X-Games Brazil and Red Bull‘s Dirt Conquers in Mexico, as well as other projects across the U.S.
Mike and Dave are now launching a new events organization, TRA: Trail Riders of America. Mike explained the motivation for the new project: “It’s awesome to be a part of some of the world’s biggest BMX dirt events. Everyone we‘ve worked with has been dedicated to producing the best pro-level contests possible. At the same time, we‘ve also recognized the need to do something for the core of the sport with amateur contests and jams that every rider can be a part of. TRA is our outlet to run events independent of anything else out there and create contests for riders of all levels“.
TRA’s first event is Saturday, August 3rd at the Grindlab Indoor/Outdoor Bike & Skatepark in Camp Hill, PA. The facility features a 15,000 square foot dirt pump track with a 6 pack jump line designed and built by Dirtsculpt. The will be an all-day open jam, beginner and expert classes for both dirt and park, and cool prizes from Ion, Shadow, and Subrosa. Ion will be on-site providing camera demos and the 1st place expert dirt rider will receive a brand new Ion Air Pro HD Sport Video Camera. The weekend was amazing!One of the best comps I ever watched!The riding was so good and everyone used the course to its fullest. So we finished last night!What a relief!The amount of work we put in to this was insane! so its been a crazy week and all worth it!im so happy dirt is back in the xgames!it was a lot of work.a lot of 14 hour days sometimes more.the crew was chris janis clint reynolds and my self.we had many challenges intense heat a hurricane trying to get the dirt not to stick to everything.but we did it the guys love it!we already had two practices and they were pretty crazy!
